Pica - an original fine art painting
Pica are the cute little critters that live in the tundra - in this case in a rock scree along the trail to Mt. Chapin in Rocky Mountain National Park. After I caught my breath from hiking uphill at about 12,000 feet elevation, I stood and watched as this pica darted over the rocks in a hunt for food. I was fortunate enough to catch him sitting still with his fur back lit by the summer sun.
This original watercolor wax batik painting has been framed in hard wood, matted with archival mats and has plexiglas glazing. The framed dimensions are 23" wide by 18" high.
The watermark is not on the original painting.
